 | SYNOPSIS |
In 1959 Cliff Richard first recorded and performed with The Shadows. In 2009 exactly 50 years later, Cliff and The Shadows went back on the road - 20 years since they last performed together in concert. Racking up an impressive nineteen No.1 hits, including; 'Living Doll', It's All In The Game', 'Travellin' Light', 'Bachelor Boy', 'Wonderful Land' and 'Apache' Cliff Richard and The Shadows also appeared together in the movies 'Summer Holiday' and 'The Young Ones', from which came million-selling hit singles and albums. Filmed Live at the 02, Cliff Richard, Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennett take to the stage together for the very last time.
 | Brian Bennett |
Brian replaced Tony Meehan as the Shadows drummer in October 1961 and has been an integral part of "The Shadows Sound" ever since. Being on the backline it seems that he is always getting left out of the pictures so we thought for once we'd show him centre stage. In fact we're thinking we should give him his own page - stay tuned.
 | Mark Griffiths |

Mark's love of the guitar started, when he heard recordings by Hank Williams , The Everly Brothers and Rick Nelson (with James Burton ). His father encouraged him and bought him his first guitar (a sunburst Framus acoustic) and it soon replaced sport as the most important thing in his life. He left school at fifteen after being offered a job teaching guitar to young students at the Northampton Guitar Studios. listening to many different guitarists, such as Lonnie Mack, Hank Garland, B.B.King, Chet Atkins, Johnny Smith and Hank Marvin. The offer came to join Matthew's Southern Comfort '. Their MCA recording of Joni Mitchell’s “ Woodstock “ became a world-wide hit reaching number one in the U.K.
On his first ever U.S.tour, he heard the groundbreaking album ‘ What’s Going On ‘ by Marvin Gaye. The bass parts by the late, great James Jamerson, inspired him to take up the bass . His move to bass has almost eclipsed his guitar playing for the majority of his carrer. Mark has been The Shadows and Hank Marvin ‘s regular bassist, since 1988.

 | Review This concert is everything it should be. Cliff and The Shadows are in such amazing shape, it's hard to believe they're all Old Age Pensioners! They're in top form, and the O2 Arena is packed. The picture and the editing are both excellent -- as is the sound, which offers a choice of Dolby Digital Stereo 2.0 or 5.1 with sub-woofer channel
